a transcript is needed. We have a highly dedicated staff of
experienced Certified Shorthand Reporters.

Application:

compressed transcript copy in a format that allows you
maximum convenience and a keyword index listing vocabulary
in a concordance structure. Our services can be scheduled |
anywhere in the United States.

Cost-Profit Benefit:
Verbatim reporting, when combined with other services, will be
more efficient and cost effective than most competitors,
therefore increasing profit to you.

Electronic / Digital Reporting

Description:
In answer to numerous requests from attorneys and government
agencies, for both savings in reporting costs and a wider area of
usage (public hearings, administrative hearings, meetings,
depositions, arbitrations, statements and conventions), Peters
Shorthand Reporting has developed an electronic / digital reporting
division, which can be used in any forum that does not require
Certified Shorthand Reporters. Utilizing highly qualified transcribers,
many legal secretaries and former transcribers for court reporters,
the quality level of the transcription provided by this division is
excellent. Recording equipment used is state-of-the-art and only
specially trained monitors are utilized to make recordings.

Application:
Electronic / Digital Reporting can be used in any forum where
stenotype reporting is currently used, except where a Certified
Shorthand Reporter is required.

Cost-Profit benefit:
When you consider the cost of a Certified Shorthand Reporter
(depending on the type of forum, time of delivery, et cetera) the
savings can range from 20% to 50% or more.

Tape Transcription

Description:
Transcription of your pre-recorded tapes by our experienced
transcribers.

Application:
PSR can provide you with a verbatim transcript of your recordings.

Cost-Profit Benefit:
The services offered by our professional transcribers can save
your staff a significant amount of time and effort, so they can
focus on more important tasks. This makes PSR transcription
services extremely cost effective.

Minutes Preparation

As a special service to those clients who have a need for formal
minutes of a meeting, Peters Shorthand Reporting has integrated
a “Minutes” program which will provide cost-effective minutes to
you in whatever format you choose.

Description:
The current structure of your minutes can be utilized or you can
select one of our many options. PSR can create minutes for you
by either making a tape recording of your meeting, or preparing
your minutes from a verbatim transcript. Minutes can also be
prepared in rough-draft form utilizing your recording. All minutes
will include a disk in whatever format you wish, so you can make
any final changes.

Application:
For any meetings or hearings where minutes are required in
addition to or in lieu of a full transcript of proceedings.

Cost-Profit Benefit:
Usually a high-level staff person is required to prepare minutes
and it is very time consuming. Our cost-effective program allows
more time to handle the important challenges facing your key
personnel every day.

Internet Deposition Reporting

Description:
Interactive depositions can now be taken from separate locations
with attorneys from anywhere in the world. Participating through
the use of video, audio and RealTime translation, an off-site
attorney / client / expert witness cannot only see and hear the
deposition/arbitration/settlement conference, et cetera, but can
also, through the security-protected chat room, provide
questions/comments to the questioning attorney.

Application:
This technology can be utilized to get a deposition conducted
when someone is not in the vicinity or cannot travel. It can be
used for expert witnesses to participate in the depositions of other
expert witnesses. Insurance claims representatives can view a
deposition when requested and remote sharing/training
meetings can also be conducted.

Cost-Profit Benefit:
Attorney travel time can be dramatically reduced, and expert
witness review time minimized. There will also be quick and
easy communication with insurance representatives or other
parties not on location. Easier scheduling is another benefit.
By creating more efficiency and effectiveness, all of these
benefits work to lower your cost and increase your savings.

Real Time Interactive Reporting
(In-progress summaries)

Description:
Makes use of Litigation Support and Software, which works in
concert with RealTime reporting. By using your laptop computer
at the deposition, you can take notes and mark testimony in
order to create a computer version of your yellow pad.

Application:
By using this technology a highlighted outline of key issues can
be made and/or an “In-Progress summary” can be made. This
technology, coupled with video synchronization, makes a
powerful documentation of important testimony.

Cost-Profit Benefit:
Summary preparation time should be decreased by at least an
average of one hour of attorney time and one hour of paralegal
time, thus promoting efficiency and increasing profitability.

Videotaping

Description:
The recording of an event on videotape.

Application:
Videotaping can easily be used in depositions to document the
behavior or physical condition of a deponent, a geographical
location, the use of a vehicle or equipment, et cetera. Videotaping
can also be used in your marketing efforts for the acquisition of
new business.

Cost-Profit Benefit:
While the cost of videotaping is an additional cost to verbatim
reporting, seeing is more dramatic than reading. Winning a
case due to the presentation of a videotaped sequence in a
deposition will have a dramatic effect on your client as well as
enhancing the bottom line for both your client and yourself.

Video Teleconferencing

Description:
Simultaneous audio and video capabilities via telephone lines
between different physical locations. Equipment can be
purchased or existing facilities can be utilized.

Application:
Some depositions that require travel can be conducted via face-
to-face video teleconferencing. Video teleconferencing can also
be used whenever a meeting is desired with a client, with another
attorney or with a full Board of Directors in remote locations.

Cost-Profit benefit:
Cost for video teleconferancing in multiple locations is fairly high,
but when compared to travel costs, over-night stays and lost
productive hours, it can be quite cost-effective.

Video Synchronization

Description:
Video synchronization is the live synchronization of the videotape
with the words in the reporter’s transcript. This technology
eliminates the lost time of the search-and-scan method of locating
a specific segment on a videotape.

Application:
This technology will permit quick location of testimony on a
videotape. It can also be edited and used as an important
impeachment tool or used in settlement negotiations.

Cost-Profit Benefit:
While cost of video synchronization is higher than strictly
verbatim reporting, video synchronization allows for time saving
in trial preparation and presentation.

Document Conversion /
Optical Imaging and Archiving

Description:
Converts numerous documents, i.e., paper, x-rays, photographs,
into computer usable sources such as magnetic or optical disks,
CDs, et cetera.

Application:
All documents, exhibits, transcripts, et cetera, can be converted,
filed, indexed and almost instantaneously retrieved by a computer,
using a bar code or a pen light. Excellent for use in depositions,
and in court for immediate access to all documents in any case.

Cost-Profit Benefit:
Document conversion/Optical Imaging can be costly depending
on amount of usage and archiving needs, but it gives
instantaneous access to information, thus creating major
advantages in time savings and cost savings. It also works
closely with Trial Presentation Technology.

Trial Presentation Technology

Description:
This technology utilizes multi-media capability for presentations.
You can place videos, photographs, animation, audio sound,
exhibits, x-rays, et cetera on a single CD-ROM.

Application:
By using this multi-media technology, presentations can be
dramatically enhanced and jury level of attention is greatly
increased. With this technology, you can organize your
presentation material, script your dialogue and eliminate stacks
of documents. This multi-media technology can be used for
marketing presentations, settlement conferences and trials.

Cost-Profit Benefit:
Trial presentation technology is costly to use, but has an
extremely dramatic effect on possible settlements and
trial presentations.
